Mayur Rele, Dipti Patil · 2023

Big Data has gained massive attention over recent years. Analyzing big data, specially produced by social media, is a widespread requirement for many businesses today. Such conditions become a nightmare when analyzing bulk data sources such as Twitter tweets. It is a big challenge to explore an enormous number of tweets to get relevance and different patterns of information promptly. In real-time, these tweets with hashtags contain essential information regarding events, situations, feelings, opinions, or even something new. Therefore, it is the need of the hour to realize big data as not just an opportunity but a necessity. This paper will explore the concept of Big Data Analysis in real-time and recognize some meaningful information from top trending Twitter hashtags using one of the industry's emerging tools, known as Storm by Apache. Storm is a platform for analyzing real-time data streams as they arrive so the user can react to data as it happens. Storm has a small set of primitives that you can use to express real-time computations without worrying about how it is being done. All that is needed is to say what you want, and Storm, with its straightforward but robust infrastructure, will get everything done.
