People with disabilities are unable to move independently or without the aid of any device. Paralysis is one of the most common neurological disorders that result in loss of motion in one or more bodily muscles. Most of these patients are only able to operate their heads and eyes. Blinking the eyes serves physiological needs, but it may also be a powerful tool for communication and control. One potential application for eye blinking is controlling wheelchairs with emergency alert (SOS). Therefore, we have connected wheelchair and SOS system which operates through movement of eyeball. This paper proposes a system that can automatically control a wheelchair for people who are partially or fully paralyzed. With the help of the developed system, the user can operate wheelchair with the help of specific eye-blinking patterns. Patients with paralysis and people without arms can complete simple activities by blinking their eyes. The proposed model is cost-effective and has an easy-to-use interface. The system is developed using Python, OpenCV, and algorithms that can detect and understand eye movements.
