Graph Offerings Evaluation.

Eric L. Goodman · 2015

Sandia National Laboratories and Cray Inc. (Cray) collaborated to understand the capabilities of open source graph offerings. Many important problems of national importance can be posed in terms of graphs, i.e. vertices and edges. For example, cyber-related data fits naturally into this paradigm, and being able to query and analyze large cyber data sets for malicious activity is of vital importance.Cray's spin-off company, YarcData, provides a large graph appliance, UrikaTM, and an outcome of this effort was to identify how Urika compares with other approaches. This benefits Cray, naturally, but also helps Sandia and DOE as they search for effective technical avenues to tackle key problems of national interest.
