Enseigner l’histoire avec ChatGPT. Les élèves écriront-ils désormais l’histoire avec un robot ?

Since ChatGPT burst onto the public scene at the end of 2022, there has been a wave of fascination and fear in the educational field. After presenting the principles of how it works, this article places it in relation to other uses of AI in history, such as the interactive holograms of witnesses from Steven Spielberg’s USC Shoah Foundation. It continues with activities based around ChatGPT, designed to develop students’ historical thinking while encouraging them to reflect on the challenges facing history in the digital age.
