Pedagogical Planning and Practices to Support Student Experiences in School-Based Makerspaces

This case study focuses on the pedagogical planning and practices of a teacher in a California public K-8 school-based makerspace, particularly for kindergarten through second grade students.The pedagogical practices in this study, including scaffolding, front loading, and the use of a teddy bear as an inanimate instructional aide will be compared to, and contrasted with, prior studies of facilitation in formal and informal makerspaces.
