Multi-Criterion OLSR Protocol Optimization Based on Network Analysis Method

Chao Liu · 2024

Aiming at the Multi-Point Relay (MPR) algorithm of the traditional Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR), the weight factor of the multi-criterion MPR algorithm depends on the subjective choice and the premise is that the criteria are independent of each other. The Analytic Network Process (ANP) was used to analyze the correlation between the three criteria and the number of nodes, the number of packets and the node speed. In view of the fact that the traditional MPR algorithm does not consider the influence of node energy and inter-node connection stability on the selection of MPR nodes, and the traditional OLSR protocol does not consider the high packet loss ratio caused by packet congestion, the remaining energy, node connection time and buffer occupancy of the nodes are selected to optimize the selection of MPR nodes. The OPNET simulation verifies that the proposed method can effectively achieve low latency and packet loss rate for the corresponding scenarios.
