Flaura, A Cross Platform Virtual Assistant

A virtual assistant is an application program that executes tasks on behalf of the user and can comprehend natural language voice commands. Virtual Assistants are rapidly advancing to provide users with more capabilities and features and to facilitate their day-to-day duties. The virtual assistant’s capacity to interpret and fulfil requests will grow along with speech recognition and natural language processing. However, none of the existing virtual assistants are platform independent. Hence a unique cognitive computing based cross-platform virtual assistant (Flaura) is developed in this research work that can enable users not only to perform all the tasks such as sending email, searching on the web, playing music and browsing the internet etc. across different platforms. The virtual assistant, Flaura has been tested for both Windows and Mac OS operating system such for the aforementioned functionalities
