Optimized energy expenditure for Wireless Sensor Networks using GLVC Algorithm

“Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have gained considerable attention for their versatility in diverse applications, from environmental monitoring to healthcare. Nonetheless, effective energy management poses a significant challenge within WSNs due to the limitations of battery resources in their nodes. Addressing this concern, this research presents an energy optimization methodology for WSNs by leveraging the Greedy Low-energy Adaptive Clustering (GLVC) technique. The proposed method aims to determine an optimal parameter configuration that minimizes energy consumption while maintaining the desired network performance. Through experimental simulations conducted on a network model, this approach demonstrates its effectiveness in substantially reducing energy usage without compromising the network’s efficiency.”
