Over the last ten years, the Internet performed a more important part in our everyday lives. The performance of online services including the e-banking, e-rail, and e-health has increased due to modern communication technologies. The Electronic Health Record (EHR) not only has great value, but it also implies a great deal of privacy. The exchange of health data is a key technique for improving medical care quality while decreasing costs. Health information must be encrypted in order to remain private, but doing so reduces the flexibility and usefulness of searches. In this study, a secure authentication protocol for blockchain-based sharing of electronic health records is presented. Through utilizing blockchain technology, the presented solution offers two significant benefits. Given that it began by being decentralized and absence of a single point of failure, it is indeed decentralized. The workload is distributed throughout the consensus nodes of the blockchain network, making it computationally efficient. The described method produced a results: constant key generation execution time and a linearly increasing file size-dependent encryption time.
