This chapter provides the definitions of LFA and result framework. The LFA and result framework are vital and primary tools in M&E. These are developed while project design. The measurement of project is defined based on these tools throughout a project life. This chapter explains the scope of both tools and methods for developing both tools. This chapter gives the history of LFA and result framework. Establishes the theoretical grounds for both M&E tools. This chapter defines why the result framework is replacing LFA. This chapter provides tips to develop both tools. The standard templates for both M&E tools are provided under this chapter. This chapter narrates a brief story of classical monitoring and result-based monitoring.
