Common Requirements for IoT Platforms
Tiago G. F. Barros, Erico S. Teixeira · 2023
Comparing IoT platforms has always been a challenge, for both academia and industry, due to the large number of platforms that exist and their huge heterogeneity. To address this problem, this work presents a precise methodology to define the common requirements that should be present in any IoT platform. After defining these requirements, a detailed survey is carried out among 32 specialists to prioritize these requirements, identifying which of them are essential. As a result, among a set of 64 mapped requirements, 26 are discussed regarding their relevance.
