Towards Autonomous Configuration Management for IoT Ecosystems

This contribution addresses the challenge of managing application state/configuration in heterogeneous, and dynamically evolving, Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystems. To this effect an architecture of a proposed solution is presented. The abstraction of the configuration state, and its dynamic evolution, offered by the SelfConfigurator, facilitates tracking and managing changes in complex environments within a computing continuum. Implementation details and practical validation are illustrated in the context of simplified smart home and industrial IoT setups.
