It allows users to access and utilize resources from anywhere via the internet, with payment based on the specific cloud services used. green cloud computing, on the other hand, refers to the adoption of energy-efficient practices in computing systems to reduce environmental impact and minimize electronic waste. Cloud computing has transformed social and professional interactions, offering numerous opportunities for managing and storing data. This article explores the advantages of green cloud computing and challenges as well as environmentally friendly data centers, emphasizing the importance of implementing such practices. Additionally, recent studies and ongoing research efforts are summarized, addressing relevant issues related to sustainability.
