A Conceptual Framework Integrating Blockchain and Supply Chain for Sustainable Development
Ankit Punia · 2024
Today, the management of supply chains (SCs) uses block chain technology as an emerging information technology instrument for sustainable development. Despite its benefits in preserving connectedness and dependability among SC associates, its research is rather infrequent in the field on SC cooperation and sustainability management. This research looks at how the integration of block chain on SC operations may affect (raise or decrease) the effectiveness and expansion of SC integrations, which in turn may have an impact on SC performance results. With the help of SC specialists from diverse sectors, this report particularly experimentally verifies a measurement as well as structural equation model. The results demonstrate that the attributes of block chain technology—information integrity, information sharing, and smart contracts—have marginally negative consequences on integration effectiveness and considerable beneficial effects on the integration development. Although integration effectiveness has a negative impact on business performance, integration development has a beneficial impact.
