Electrically Doped Nano Devices: A First Principle Paradigm

Debarati Dey, Pradipta Roy, Debashis De · 2024

Miniaturization is the key feature in the area of semiconductor technologies. The number of highly sophisticated, tiny electronic gazettes is increasing day by day. Therefore, it is required to provide faster, low-power consuming, and bio-compatible electronic devices to the users. The increasing need for bio-compatible electronic devices inspires the researchers to innovate, design, and fabricate various nano-scale (even at molecular level) low-power and high-speed devices using non-conventional methods. Several alternative technologies are emerging that might replace currently used conventional semiconductor technology. Density functional theory (DFT) along with non-equilibrium Greens' function (NEGF) formalisms-based first principle approach provides a research world for the researchers to move ahead towards the computational nano-scale technology.
