Development of Virtual Exhibition with Metaverse Platform for Online Academic Presentations

Thailand's pursuit of becoming a 'Digital Thailand' is evident through its strategic initiatives outlined in the Digital Development Plan for the Economy and Society. The country has embraced the vision of Thailand 4.0, focusing on digital technologies to drive economic growth and transformation. The metaverse, often considered as Web 3.0, holds significant promise to revolutionize various industries, including education. Recognizing this potential, the article discusses the researcher's conceptualization of developing Virtual Exhibitions within the metaverse specifically for educational purposes. This innovative approach aims to modernize the presentation of academic work by adapting traditional poster presentations to an online format. The proposed framework for Virtual Exhibitions in the metaverse offers a dynamic platform for presenting scholarly work. By seamlessly integrating diverse media, such as images and videos, the platform enhances the viewer's ability to engage with academic content comprehensively. The implementation of this approach has been demonstrated successfully at the National Academic Conference "2nd Rajapruk Academic". A subsequent satisfaction evaluation, focusing on content, design, and usability, provided valuable insights and positive feedback. The development of Virtual Exhibitions within the metaverse for educational purposes represents a forward-thinking and transformative initiative. As technology continues to advance, the metaverse offers an exciting avenue for redefining how academic work is presented and accessed, contributing to the modernization of education and showcasing.
