Design and implementation of Vedic multiplier
Khushi Mishra, Ajay Suri · 2024
Vedic mathematics is an ancient Indian system of mathematics that uses a set of sutras (formulas) to perform arithmetic calculations. Multiplication is one of the most significant processes in Vedic mathematics. These sutras are used to create Vedic multipliers, which have a number of advantages over conventional multipliers, including a faster speed, less power consumption, and a smaller area. The design and implementation of a Vedic multiplier for 8-bit numbers are presented in this paper. The multiplier is put into practise by combining traditional digital logic with Vedic sutras. In many situations, Vedic multipliers can be a good substitute for conventional multipliers. Vedic multipliers are particularly well suited for applications where speed, power consumption and area are crucial.
