BA-TMS: Design and Implementation of Blockchain Based Aggregate Transportation Management System Using Smart Order and Electronic Invoice
Byeong-Seop Kim, Jongpil Jeong · 2023
In recent years, blockchain technology has emerged as a force of transformation that confuses traditional industries due to its decentralized and transparent nature. Originally developed to support cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, the blockchain has since evolved into a multi-purpose platform far beyond the realm of digital currencies. Blockchain has attracted attention in a variety of areas, including finance, healthcare, and logistics, with its potential to innovate supply chains, enhance data security, and streamline transactions. The construction industry is one of the cornerstones of global economic growth and plays a pivotal role in shaping the physical environment in which we live. However, despite remarkable developments in various fields due to technological innovation, construction has been recognized as somewhat resistant to change. Traditional practices that often rely on paper-based documents and numerous intermediaries continued, leading to issues of transparency, efficiency and accountability. This domestic construction industry itself has a unique conservative cultural character, making digital transformation slower. In order to ensure the reliability of data generated in the manufacturing process of washed aggregate among building materials, this paper attempted to ensure the reliability of data by introducing blockchain techniques. In addition, in the product delivery stage, the accuracy in the order and delivery stage was improved by introducing unmanned shipments and electronic document systems through mobile smart orders. As such, the data collected in real time in this system provides integrity for the aggregate delivery system. By combining these functions, we would like to conduct a study on the aggregate transportation management system (BA-TMS).
