Significant challenges with energy and security, which are mutually exclusive, faced by wireless sensor networks. Battery consumption will rise in tandem with an increase in security complexity. Owing to wireless sensor networks' limited power and their dynamic topology, attempts have been made to Common security methods like key management and cryptography are worthless. One of the recommended approaches in this type of system is the use of machine learning algorithms to deliver safety measures by combining intelligence-based decision-making with surveillance. Thus, these dynamic situations can be handled by machine learning algorithms. The security, routing, clustering, that WSNs face are some of the ones that are evaluated against the corresponding problems in this survey paper using machine learning (ML) algorithms. Consequently, this review paper offers a general overview of ML algorithms for various problems encountered by WSN.
