The application of blockchain technology is causing a revolution in the rental management industry by improving the security, privacy, traceability and visibility of any rental commodity. Complex tasks like commodity listings, lease agreements, payment methods, identity verification, and authentication are performed with unparalleled integrity, ultimately reducing the risk of fraud and disputes. The main objective of this survey is to review and analyse peer-reviewed literature that discusses previous works that present solutions to traditional rental lease management using blockchain technology. We start by elucidating the foundational concepts and traditional rental management industry. We then evaluated a few papers, examining the technologies used and their advantages, key focuses, and limitations. This survey aims to determine the potential of blockchain technology in improving transaction efficiency, transparency, cost reduction, and other beneficial aspects of rental management. Blockchain technology is a workable alternative to traditional rental lease management, streamlining processes, building confidence, and asserting the dynamics between landlords and tenants. This paper addresses a survey in different domains of application of blockchain technology and some suggestions for future research.
