In today's digital landscape, the surging volume of multimedia data calls for innovative solutions to tackle challenges related to storage efficiency and secure content ownership. This paper introduces a cutting-edge framework addressing image compression and secure ownership verification for color images. Employing K-means clustering, our proposed methodology achieves an impressive compression ratio of 3.99, ensuring efficient data storage. To verify ownership securely, our approach utilizes a watermarking scheme embedding a logo in the LH1 sub-band, obtained through successive lifting wavelet transformations applied to the Y channel's LH band in the YCbCr color space. This methodology exhibits exceptional robustness, as evidenced by NCC values either equal to or in close proximity to unity. Comparative analyses against recent techniques validate its superior performance in both compression and authentication. This integrated solution holds great promise for applications requiring simultaneous image compression and content ownership, marking a significant contribution to advancements in image processing techniques.
