The primary focus of this project is to investigate the usage of P4 programmable network switches in bolstering the reliability of power system networks. Specifically, we are investigating a decentralized, in-network approach to PMU data logging and missing data recovery. In practice, an in-network approach to data logging allows for improved retroactive power-system analysis without the need for adjusting the current hardware in PDCs. Additionally, an in-network approach to missing data recovery will allow for faster and more accurate readings of the state of a power grid, meaning system faults and security threats can more quickly be detected and mitigated,
