Multi-party Threshold Private Set Intersection Cardinality Based On Encrypted Bloom Filter

Jie Zhou, Daizhao Su, Jiao Deng · 2023

Private set intersection cardinality (PSI-CA) is a practical cryptographic primitive that allows only the receiver to get the intersection cardinality. PSI-CA is widely used in file matching, carpooling and contact tracing, and so on. At present, many advanced PSI-CA schemes have been proposed, but most existing PSI-CA schemes do not address threshold issues and do not support intersection size hiding. Based on this situation, we propose a secure multi-party threshold private set intersection cardinality protocol under the semi-honest adversary model in this article. The protocol implements the hiding of intersection bases and employs cloud servers to solve the problems of the PSI-CA protocol’s high computational volume and storage difficulties. Compared with several existing multi-party PSI-CA schemes, our protocol has better privacy without sacrificing performance.
