It examines how advances in these areas have facilitated the development of personalized medicine, where treatments are customized to target specific genetic mutations or biomarkers. Additionally, this chapter aims to address the potential of personalized healthcare to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs by avoiding unnecessary treatments and adverse events.
