A Novel Group Decision-Making Approach With Entropy Measure for Energy Aware in Wireless Sensor Network Architecture
Harish Garg, Gagandeep Kaur · IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics · 2024
One of the biggest challenges in sensor network research is developing wireless sensor networks (WSNs) with energy efficiency constraints. Making an energy aware WSN assures prolonged working of network system by increasing its lifespan and by decreasing the overall maintenance costs. Uncertainties also result from unclear information flow via routing protocols, conflicting data scheduling, assigning tasks to different nodes, etc. As a result, we offer a hybrid methodology in this work that uses a Pythagorean fuzzy set to rank the various WSN systems while taking into account their various energy-affecting properties. We also develop a novel exponential entropy metric, which we will employ to determine the different attribute weights. Additionally, we provide the equation that embeds another attitude character component in order to aggregate the various data points. We illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method with a case study on energy-efficient WSNs. The algorithm’s reach is demonstrated by the sensitivity analysis and comparison with the state-of-the-art.
