Adaptive Selective Detectors for Mismatched Signals in the Presence of Signal Mismatch

This chapter discusses the design of adaptive detectors with enhanced selectivity when a signal mismatch occurs. In Section 3.1, one-step GLRT and two-step GLRT are resorted to derive the selective detectors in the partially homogeneous environment. In Section 3.2, two selective detectors are designed according to the two-step GLRT and maximum a posteriori GLRT in the compound Gaussian environment. The proposed detectors show stronger mismatch signal rejection performance. Readers can learn the concept of the mismatch selective detector and acquire skills in how to enhance mismatch signal discrimination capabilities when a signal mismatch occurs.
