Comparison of Bluetooth Tracking Systems Based on The COVID-19 Environment

Since 2019, COVID-19 has ravaged the world, having spread to multiple countries and infecting hundreds of millions of people. Large-scale outbreaks of infectious diseases are dangerous and difficult to prevent, posing a huge challenge for humanity. Therefore, in order to efficiently and accurately track close contacts of the new coronary pneumonia, several companies around the world have started to develop Bluetooth-based infectious disease tracking systems that protect the privacy of users. In this paper, we present two Bluetooth tracking systems developed by different companies, CoAviod and WeTrace, and analyze and compare their privacy-preserving technologies.
