Virtual Tour applications are versatile tools that offer a form of interactive and explorable visual content. A Virtual Reality (VR) mobile application was developed for this study, showcasing a sample of an immersive and interactive tour of the University of Western Cape (UWC) campus. This research investigated the adaptability and multipurpose nature of the application, determining its potential impact on user experiences. The application included a multitude of features and functionalities that users could explore. Numerous areas were tested to detect malfunctioning operations, identify aspects that can be improved upon, and observe and record the users’ responses and experiences from their interactions with the application. The feedback and results obtained from the testing phase aided this study in correcting errors in the software and ensuring all processes and functions work alongside each other as desired. The findings were informative and shed light on the typical response this application may receive from individuals and the various objectives or purposes it can potentially fulfill. The results highlight UWC VirtualView 360° (UWC VV 360°)’s adaptability and its capacity to cater to a broader spectrum of user requirements and interests due to its additional features and multipurpose nature.
