Pixelforge: image revamping through text and image input using pix2pix

T. M. Siddigan, G. Sudharsan, A. Ganesh Ram · 2024

Pix2pix has become quite popular in the area of image-to-image translation. We give an overview of the pix2pix concept and its uses in picture editing in this review paper. Learning the correspondence between the input and output pictures, the conditional adversarial networks used by the pix2pix model are first introduced. The success of the pix2pix model in completing various picture-altering tasks, such as colorization, style transfer, and photorealistic image production, is then discussed through writing. Also, we look at more recent developments in pix2pix-based methods, like cycle-consistent adversarial networks and GANs that are gradually increasing. Lastly, we address the research potential of pix2pixbased techniques as well as their contribution to the development of image processing editing. Our analysis offers a thorough understanding of the Pix2pix model and its effect on picture editing, making it a useful tool for academics and industry professionals.
