Research on TCP transmission performance optimization based on satellite communication conditions

This article proposes directions for improving TCP transmission performance by analyzing the impact of satellite communication link characteristics on TCP. We conducted in-depth research on the application of various TCP congestion control strategies on satellite communication lines and determined the optimal choice suitable for satellite network environments. Especially when using the SACK algorithm, in order to include more data in the SACK option, we propose an optimization method based on basic numbering and offset. After simulation experiments, it has been verified that this new method can significantly improve the transmission rate of satellite communication lines.
