Wireless sensor nodes are used in various fields and real-time applications. Due to its size and capacity, energy is a one of the most common drawbacks faced by the end users. Generally, the wireless node’s energy can be saved by using sleep and active techniques. During emergency time, more sensors need to be processed, in that time; it is difficult to find which node can be activated and remain in Sleep mode. The proposed ETD model will easily find out the nodes in a group and can be activated based on the requirement. It will retain energy in a node and also increase the network lifetime. ETD model categorizes nodes in a network by labelling it as E, D and G node. Based on the label, a node can be activated during emergency time. Fuzzy logic concept is used for node labelling.
