One of the network vulnerabilities is multiple open ports. All the communication that occurs over the internet is exchanged via ports. Threat agents like hackers use open ports to obtain access to sensitive data. It also makes it harder to withstand and recover from service faults and disruption of service. A component is introduced to tackle this problem by reducing the requirement of multiple open ports. The component is constructed by building a Network Tunnel that uses a single port for all its communication over the internet. The sender and receiver will have one open port to form a connection and all communication between any pair of processes can be then tunneled through this, essentially serving the function of a bridge. This component automates the repetitive process of data transfer in order to free up resources. The use of the component is demonstrated to take backup over the Internet, for sending a copy of a file or any kind of data to a secondary location for preservation in case of any malfunction.
