Performance Evaluation of Design Patterns in AWS

Pavandeep Kaur, Ayushi Kaushik · 2024

As organizations increasingly adopt cloud computing environments for hosting and processing static content, the choice of an appropriate design pattern plays a crucial role in achieving optimal performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. This paper offers a comprehensive comparative analysis of dynamic selection strategies for AWS cloud design patterns tailored specifically for static content processing. By examining a range of widely used design patterns, such as web storage pattern, direct hosting pattern, private distribution pattern, cache distribution pattern, and rename distribution pattern, this study aims to provide valuable insights into the most effective pattern selection methodologies. The research methodology includes an algorithmic approach to implement these patterns using Amazon Web Services, and practical case studies to evaluate the performance, scalability, and cost implications of each design pattern in various real-world scenarios. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in cloud architecture and design, providing practical guidance for architects, developers, and decision-makers involved in processing static content in cloud-based environments.
