One of the biggest issues in data transmission nowadays is information security. As a result, it becomes an essential component of data communication. Combining steganography and encryption can solve this issue. In this research, a private communication method is suggested. Steganography and encryption algorithms are both used. When these strategies are combined, a comprehensive and effective communication that can fend off attackers is created. The confidential message in this work is encrypted using the boosted chaotic-based blowfish (BCB) method, which offers a high degree of security, flexibility, and rapidity. The encryption key is then concealed in the cover image using a modified integer wavelet transforms (MIWT) driven steganography via adjusting the wavelet coefficients. Mean squared error (MSE), peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and normalised cross correlation (NCC) are the performance metrics for proposed study’s validity. The simulation findings show the high degree of protection that the suggested solution delivers.
