Risk assessment and vulnerability analysis are critical components in safeguarding the Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem. With the proliferation of interconnected devices, understanding and mitigating potential threats are paramount. As IoT devices permeate various sectors, ranging from healthcare and transportation to smart homes and industrial automation, identifying and mitigating risks becomes paramount. The need to systematically evaluate vulnerability inherent in the diverse spectrum of IoT devices, emphasizing the importance of proactive measures such as threat modeling, continuous vulnerability scanning, and secure development practices. By adopting a comprehensive approach to risk management, IoT stakeholders can better safeguard data, privacy, and system integrity in this interconnected ecosystem. This chapter highlights the importance of systematically evaluating IoT vulnerability and assessing associated risks. It emphasizes the need for ongoing monitoring, proactive security measures, and collaboration across stakeholders to ensure the resilience and security of IoT environments in an ever-evolving technological landscape.
