Edge Computing Technology for Secure IoT

Edge computing has recently become popular in the modern environment. It is becoming one of the major influences in innovative developmental research areas such as the Internet of Things (IoT), secure vehicle-to-vehicle communication, 5G, and artificial intelligence. It is required for fast and compact storage, as well as for an easily approachable way of communication. The next level of communication moves toward fog computing, followed by cloud computing for the purpose of a higher level of storage. Using edge computing, we could track and recover data in a flexible way. This chapter focuses on numerous surveys at various levels of security and also the risk of edge computing, followed by a list of algorithms used at the level of security available in the IoT. A detailed analysis of security using edge computing for IoT is also highlighted. The chapter concludes by highlighting challenges in edge computing.
