The Internet of Things (IoT) is a developing sector that is full of creativity and invention, which leads to cybersecurity challenges. These days, IoT items are practically everywhere in our life. Everything is wirelessly connected, from robotic sprinklers to bike locks with Bluetooth capabilities to smart kitchen equipment. Given that it is predicted that there will be more than 55 billion linked IoT devices by 2025, the number of documented IoT device hacks has increased significantly over the past few years and is undoubtedly going to continue to do so. In a report on cybersecurity, it was discovered that hackers have the ability to get beyond security safeguards in an implantable cardiac device, allowing them to drain the battery and deliver the wrong heart shocks. Data protection for both businesses and individuals is made possible through cybersecurity. When storing, gaining access to, and retrieving crucial information, it is strongly advised that all businesses with digital-based data pay attention to cybersecurity and use it. The study of technology security reveals the need for new conceptual and analytical tools, as well as cyber security research focused on the interaction of technology and society. The demand for better cybersecurity increases along with the growth of the IoT device industry. Data may be transferred securely between devices without the intervention of hostile parties thanks to Blockchain technology. In this chapter we will focus on new challenges in IOT, cybersecurity, and blockchain.
