The importance of data converters using CMOS technology is increasing with every new electronic device. Applications for ADCs include signal processing and transmission. The digitization of medical data, which is acquired from many animals, humans, etc., is urgently needed in the modern period. This data must be digitized before being processed by a computer. Analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are used to transform the data gathered in this manner into digital form. Digital-to-analog converters (DACs) then convert it back into analog form after further processing in digital processors. Understanding the ADC’s performance and how it works became crucial before putting it into use. In order to make it easy to select the best ADC for an application, this article analyzes the most popular ADCs and covers several ADC kinds.
