The e ects of room reverberation on speech intelligibility are well studied.This paper argues that it may be bene cial for a speech dereuerberation algorithm to preserve binauml cues as far as possible along the signal path, possibly as far as the listener.Such a binuural dereuerberation scheme is discussed which is based on the method of envelope expansion.
