Industry-specific applications for the Internet-of-Things (IoT) as well as other applications have grown in popularity. Several sectors have adopted IoT which has distinguished itself as the perfect breakthrough for raising the bar for living. This article studies various areas of application of IoT, the significance of IoT in manufacturing, logistics, factory, automotive sector, smart logistic service, and smart factories. The article also examines Industry 4.0 and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). The need is to comprehend this technology as well as how it might benefit modern manufacturing systems. In order to enhance quality control and optimize part production processes, new concepts and cutting-edge techniques are offered by analyzing the implementation of IoT in smart factories following the Industry 4.0 tools and techniques.
