The study presented here aims to analyze the phenomena of vibration and acoustic emission of static electric machines: inductors and transformers. A modeling by the finite element method as well as measurements, were carried out on several prototype inductors. The numerical modeling developed in the computer-aided design software FLUXMECA, achieves a coupling of the Maxwell equations and the mechanical equations. This software implements a periodic homogenization method for taking into account the laminated and composite structure of electric machines. Thanks to electromagnetic simulations, the forces in the conductors and air gaps can be calculated. A coupling with the mechanical equations is thus carried out in order to determine the vibratory behavior electrical windings at different frequencies. A test bench was carried out, allowing for vibration and acoustic power measurements, to validate and complete the digital models. By this approach, it will be possible to envisage in the future, improvements in the design of electric windings whose acoustic discretion will be improved.
