This paper proposes transforming Shahjahanabad into a Smart Heritage City by integrating good governance principles, speech technology, and IoT. Good governance, encompassing principles like Accountability, Transparency, Equity & Inclusiveness/ Fairness, Performance/Responsiveness, Effectiveness & Efficiency/ Direction, Participation/ Legitimacy & Voice, is crucial for sustainable development. Speech technology, including multilingual voice recognition and NLP, enhances communication and responsiveness. IoT monitors air quality, traffic, waste management, and energy usage, optimizing resource utilization. Collaboration, cybersecurity, and digital literacy are vital for success. This approach aims to preserve Shahjahanabad’s historical appeal while addressing modern infrastructure and environmental challenges, ultimately enhancing the city’s livability.Speech technology is crucial for improving communication and accessibility in diverse communities. Multilingual voice recognition and synthesis systems break down language barriers, aiding authorities and citizens.To integrate governance, speech tech, and IoT in Shahjahanabad, partnerships between government, businesses, and communities are essential.
