A novel mechanism to protect personal privacy and ensure security to verify identity requires the cancellable biometrics. This novel mechanism is employed for transforming the original biometric data into an irreparable, abstracted form, to prevent the original data from reconstruction. Diverse mathematical algorithms are utilized to execute safe verification for which the biometric information of persons is not compromised. The notion of cancellable biometrics is employed in diverse sectors, such as economics, medical, and defense, to enhance and secure the access controlling methods and identification mechanisms. The development of cancellable biometrics leads to mark a significant stage to reconcile the requirement of robust security measures for preserving the personal secrecy in the digital era.
