Distant transmission of biomedical images becomes extensively important in today’s world for numerous applications like telemedicine and teleconsultation with health professionals. Many of these images bring personal records and need to be exceptionally secured before transmission. For secured transmission, image information ought to be encrypted with robust encryption scheme. In this communication, a sturdy technique for secured communication of biomedical images is proposed, which is relevant equally in different subfields of image processing. Here, we have applied the algorithm on USG images for detection of ovarian cancer. Security of transmitted images is enhanced by application of multistage Chaotic encryption and 2-D Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT).
