Programming Inspiration
Chris Roda · 2024
Artists are not always willing programming students. Beyond cultural associations with programming and math, artists often do not have the time and patience required to learn programming languages. Many solutions to production questions can be found on the internet. Traditional programming instruction is thorough to the extent of providing more information than what is required within the typical production environment. This instruction is often taught by individuals who are less familiar with artist programming applications than the artists are with the language itself. This book provides a solution to this situation through a six-week Python introduction course. The course is fast and focusses only on the skills required by technical artists. The course is also taught in the context of an artist familiar environment, working with familiar objects and performing familiar operations and solving familiar problems.
