Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) Technologies in Surgical Operating Systems

This study investigates how Augmented Reality (AR) or Virtual Reality (VR) technology might be used in surgical operating systems. The use of AR and VR technology has the potential to increase patient care, decrease complications, and improve surgical outcomes. The use of AR/VR in preoperative planning, intraoperative navigation, surgical training, and remote surgery is examined in this research. The fact that these technologies are still in their infancy and need more research and development to guarantee their efficacy should not be overlooked. The paper ends with an appeal for additional study and advancement to fully utilize AR/VR technologies in surgical operating systems.
