Efficient Implementation of Decimal to BCD Encoder using Modified-GDI Technique

The main constraints in recent trends of VLSI technology are low power and small area. This paper presents the implementation of Decimal to BCD encoder using Modified Gate Diffusion Input technique. Compared with CMOS and Gate Diffusion Input technique-based Decimal to BCD encoder in terms of power consumption, surface area, transistor counts and Propagation Delay. This encoder is implemented using NG-Spice on 180nm technology.
