To improve video surveillance in public spaces, a smart CCTV system that makes use of artificial intelligence and motion detection has been created. Real-time video frame analysis and motion detection are done by the system using the OpenCV package. The thresholding, contour detection, and difference between the current frame and the preceding frame serve as the foundation of the motion detection method. The system only automatically records video footage when motion is detected, which lowers the amount of storage needed and boosts the effectiveness of the system. In order to further optimize storage consumption, the system is also built to automatically modify the quality of the recorded video based on the amount of motion detected in the monitored area. The device has undergone extensive testing in a variety of settings and has proven to be highly accurate at both motion detection and video capture. In conclusion, this intelligent CCTV system provides a dependable, effective, and affordable option for video surveillance in public spaces.
