Finger vein authentication system is a more secure kind of authentication that can be utilized in fields such as signature and fingerprint verification. The specific reason for this authentication is because veins exist beneath the human skin, making them impossible to imitate. Furthermore, the vein pattern remains consistent throughout a person's life. Fingerprints are easily reproduced and fade with age. Iris authentication, the pattern of the iris could change when a person undergoes cataract surgery. The purpose of this work is to design a system that uses biometric authentication based on finger vein recognition by identifying unique vein patterns. The vein pattern is gathered using a Near-Infrared (NIR) camera with infrared light transmission. The goal of this study is to create a system that uses finger vein identification to ensure a secure transaction.
