Virtual and augmented reality technologies are immensely used nowadays in various fields like interactive gaming, education, and virtual meetings. Another notable achievement of this technology is its ability to leverage real-life objects into a virtual space. Thus, virtual tours of points of interest, art galleries, etc., have become a reality. However, such features require sophisticated rendering devices such as head-mounted displays like Meta Quest Pro, Microsoft Hololens, etc. Irrespective of the technological advancements, the systems are currently not available at every user's home. In this direction, the presented work develops a virtual platform which requires only a mobile smartphone for rendering. More specifically, a virtual art gallery with paintings of four renowned artists is being devised. The users of our system can scan a reasonable real-life space and spawn a virtual space for the art gallery. The proposed system is evaluated by performing subjective tests along with a test on simulator sickness induced while exploring the virtual content. The recorded subjective responses are thoroughly analysed to justify usability of the proposed system.
